Getting Ready for Your New Garage Door Operator

In today’s world, a garage door opener is so much more than just a motor. With the latest technology, you can open your garage from your smartphone, receive real-time alerts, and even sync your car’s built-in controls—all designed to make life more convenient.



If you're planning to add smart features to your new garage door operator—like WiFi control, HomeLink vehicle programming, or custom keypad setups—here’s a quick checklist of what we’ll need from you before installation to make sure everything goes smoothly.

1. WiFi Network Name (SSID) & Password
To connect your new operator to your home network.

2. Keypad PIN (if applicable)
If you already have or are adding a wireless keypad, please have your preferred 4-digit entry code ready.

3. HomeLink Vehicle(s)
If you have a vehicle with HomeLink capabilities and would like the vehicle programmed to your new operator, please make sure the vehicle is accessible to our technicians at the time of install.

4. Firewall or Router Restrictions
If your home network has advanced security settings or custom firewalls, we’ll need access or info to help your operator connect properly.

5. Site Conditions
Any relevant details about your garage or the surrounding area (e.g., weak WiFi signal in the garage, tight access, construction zones, etc.).
